The benefits that forests offer our planet are numerous

The best solution to mop up carbon ?

Trees are a photosynthetic species, this means that they create dioxygen and organic matter through a chemical reaction between three component: water, mineral salt contained in said water and carbon dioxide, co2 (using the solar energy which does not only power our solar plant).

This reaction consumes CO2 to create dioxygen and the carbon form this transformation is turned into wood (which makes the tree grow). They mop up more than just CO2!

If the most well-known tree climate benefice is their ability to turn CO2 into oxygen and wood, it is not the only one. Tree leaves can filter out pollutants and microparticle in the air limiting their circulation, thus making the air we breathe cleaner.

Trees, mainly their roots, preserve soils. They prevent them from getting by water runoff by permitting the development of humus. Humus is the layer of soils blended with organic matter on which moss can prosper and grow. This humus by its simple presence slows down water runoff, thus preventing floods and prevented the soils from being slowly carried away by the water running off on the surface.

Our trees serve as an obstacle against students and brutal changes in the landscape. Their rotting makes the soils firmer, more solid, and durable against some of the phenomena such as landslides.

Think of a dune on the shore of the Atlantic ocean and the way mankind tries to stabilize them!

Forests are a sanctuary for biodiversity

Forests are the natural habitat of numerous species, the biodiversity present in a square meter of forests is infinitely more than the biodiversity we can in a square meter of your living room, your attic, or even in a flied. The trees will protect the crops on the ground, lead to higher water quality while conserving the quality of the ground by preventing runoff water to bring it downstream.

And the biodiversity that will spring up the shelter by the tree will protect the crop from numerous parasites and diseases. If you don’t believe us maybe you will the French ministry of agriculture!

A reforest effort will increase the output of some crops, sometimes by adding fruits to it!
