A demanding market, expertise built over twenty years
Tea, the third most consumed beverage in France, has grown strongly since the 1980s. Derudder, a sea and air freight forwarder specialising in food transport and import customs clearance, brings highly focused expertise to this sector.
Are you importing tea from China, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand or other major origins? Our operators and customs broker have extensive experience with this commodity and review documents, phytosanitary certificates and COIs required for organic tea before arrival.

Trusted by leading tea importers
Our expertise is recognised and we have worked for twenty years with major tea importers through French and Belgian ports. We organise sea and air flows with constant attention to documentary compliance, cleanliness of unloading sites and the quality of handling operations.
We also manage possible phytosanitary inspections and, when customs or HSA sample collections are required, we arrange unloading in clean facilities authorised to receive pallets of dry food products, whether organic or non-organic.

Inspections, sampling and documentary continuity
During sampling, our own employees attend the collection in the presence of customs officers and then take charge of the sample bags in order to send them to the analysis laboratory. This field presence secures the process, facilitates exchanges with authorities and reduces the risk of error or documentary disruption.
HSA increasingly checks the level of certain pesticides, especially acetamiprid and tricyclazole. In this context, rigorous preparation of files, certificates and cargo becomes essential to avoid blockages, additional costs and release delays.
Traceability, evidence and sample return
Our clerks take photographs anchored in blockchain, which may provide useful legal evidence as part of inspection follow-up. This approach extends our traceability standards across the whole import chain, from initial verification to final inspection closure.
After inspection, we store the sample bags in our secure cabinet and return them to you progressively. You therefore benefit from continuous, documented and secured operational follow-up designed for demanding importers of tea, rooibos and infusions.
